Treehouse Academy’s ultimate goal is for children to become competent, eager learners.  Our high quality curriculum provides many opportunities for active exploration, creating powerful and positive interactions for learning.  Every learning experience in our program is linked to a domain focus and specific learning objective.  By using High Reach Learning Curriculum, our teachers spend less time researching activities and materials and more time with your children, teaching.   Topics are chosen to engage children’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder.  Children learn best when they are learning what interests them.
Learning begins at birth; let Treehouse Academy be a part of the process every step of the way. Our teachers will provide a warm and loving atmosphere to let each child know that they are special, including physical affection and cuddling that is so important at this stage of development. Opportunities for exploring, learning, and social interaction through a variety of activities will be provided daily. Toddlers are developing many new skills in their quest for independence – walking, talking, and discovering who they are and what they can do. Encouraging their sense of discovery with the High Reach Curriculum for Toddlers while building vocabulary, encouraging imagination, and personalizing learning. Â Toddler RoomOur teachers will provide a loving, caring atmosphere where physical affection is freely given. Â A variety of activities will begin to introduce areas of art, science, cooking, and social studies, dramatic play, manipulative, language, large motor, music and movement. Â Activities will be planned to develop self-help skills in order to create a feeling of independence and confidence in each child. Constantly in motion, two-year-olds are determined to learn on their own. Â Our program provides a rich learning environment that helps them expand their vocabularies, find appropriate ways to express creativity, and safely discover the world around them. Â Two Yr. RoomOur teachers will provide a loving, caring atmosphere where physical affection is freely given. Â A variety of activities will begin to introduce areas of art, science, cooking, and social studies, dramatic play, manipulative, language, large motor, music and movement. Build on three-year-olds “I can do it!” attitude through integrated, hands-on activities. Use experimentation and exploration to build higher-level thinking, language, math, social, and motor skills with the fun and challenging learning experiences. Â Three/Four Yr. RoomOur teachers will provide a wide variety of age appropriate activities, within a routine, drawing from the curriculum areas of art, math, science, cooking, music and movement, large muscle, practical life, social studies, dramatic play, language arts, and manipulative activities. Â A nurturing, flexible and calm atmosphere will be provided, where physical affection is freely given, self concept is enhanced and independence is encouraged. Building a foundation for lifelong learning through play. Â Creative Curriculum allows children to investigate new interests and experiences. Children gain independence and self-confidence with their growing abilities while achieving the readiness skills needed for kindergarten. Â Our teachers will provide a relaxed, loving and calm atmosphere where self concept is enhanced, independence and choices are encouraged, and self discipline is gained in an environment where the child knows limits and expectations. Â Our Georgia Pre-K program will help develop an active curiosity about the world around them, and an enthusiasm for learning which in turn stimulates exploratory behavior and creativity. Â Ample opportunity will be provided for the use of large motor skills and coordination through either indoor or outdoor activities. At Treehouse Academy we understand the changing needs of older children and their parents. Â Our teachers will offer free choice as well as teacher directed indoor and outdoor activities. Â Children are encouraged to increase their knowledge, develop as individuals, and expand their social skills enabling them to form friendships that will last a lifetime. Â Our teachers will provide a relaxed, loving and calm atmosphere where self concept is enhanced, independence and choices are encouraged, and self discipline is gained in an environment where the child knows limits and expectations. Â A quiet and relaxed homework help session will be offered daily upon returning from school. Fun and educational activities and field trips such as, Zoo Atlanta, Fernbank, bowling, parks, cooking activities and lots of arts and crafts, are planned to increase knowledge and to expand childrens social skills. Â Our camp leaders are here to provide a relaxed, loving and calm atmosphere where self concept is enhanced, independence and choices are encouraged, and self discipline is gained in an environment where the child knows limits and expectations.
